He Can Count!!

As I mentioned before, Fischer has learned to count from 2-5 (I have to say "one" to start him). I finally got it on video! His voice is very soft, but clear...and notice I am repeating him, he's saying the next number on his own! By the way, I am not drilling my toddler with academics...he learned this from one of his favorite books and suprised us all! He also thinks he's saying the alphabet after counting, but he's not even close :)

This is the 100th Post!

Yep, this is the 100th time I have added pictures of my precious little boy! I have to quit calling him my "baby" boy b/c he's not much of a baby anymore! He is trying to say everything we say, even if he doesn't come close, and he suprises us with new words every day! He's better at sounds than words, but he's trying :) Oh, and he can count from 2-5 now (I have to start him with 1)...but I haven't gotten a very good video of it yet...he's hard to catch! Here's some fun pics from lately:
Fischer wanted this nice lady to help him down the step :)

Bubble bath beard! (he was trying to eat the bubbles, and came up like this)
Daddy's teaching him how to properly open his mouth for tooth-brushing:
Church picnic for the 4th of July...it was hot!!

Fischer found my glasses, then managed to put them on himself...here he's watching his feet as he walks...I think it looked distorted to him, because he was walking funny!

Recent Videos

Fischer just LOVED this toy he got to bring home from VBS:

Here's a swim lesson video where we can actually see the difference the lessons are making...we still have a little ways to go, but we're getting close!!

Older Pics From This Summer

This is where Nana puts Fischer when he's been bad (j/k!)...Fischer loves Meili's crate :)

It was really hot back in May, before we bought our summer pool :)

Fischer's favorite activity in Nana's yard:

Doesn't this face say, "hmm, what can I get into next" ???

Weeeee!!! (He usually sits at the top until we say "ready, go!" for him to slide)

So Proud of Himself!

I think I might be praising Fischer a little more than I realized lately...here's what he has started doing on his own with his shape sorter:

Cousins!

My cousin, Harland, brought his wife and children to visit us this week. I haven't seen them in 9 years! They live in Texas, with their family in GA and north FL, so they don't make it to Lakeland very often. But they came by and brought their beautiful kids over to play with us and have dinner...we had a blast! Sorry Anjie - for some reason I don't have a picture of you :( (it happens to me all the time...I think it's a mom thing!)

This is Isabel...she loved to hold Fischer (and he didn't mind so much either!)

Isabel liked to read books to Fischer:

This is Ben...he's all about baseball :)

This is Nathanael...he just likes to play baseball :)

Dustin is also a big baseball fan, so he and Ben really hit it off with Ben's cards:

The men on their way out to shine for gators!

Here are the three wonderful children...bunny ears, stuck-out-tongue, and all!!

Vacation Part 2

Here are some more pics and videos of our week at the beach :)

One of the few times Fischer played in the sand (it was just too windy):

Family fun!

Pint-sized merry-go-round at the mall on a rainy day...Fischer loved it and cried when it was over!

His favorite spot to play...the foot-washer and sidewalk to the ocean...you can see his trucks below him.

At least he loved the pool!

Fischer was pushing buttons on his toy until the right song came on, then making his puppy dance...he did this over and over, but we only caught one on video...no one taught him this, he's just cute on his own!!

Some footage of Fischer playing in the water...it was only calm enough to play a few times...you can hear how strong the wind was, and the waves got much worse that week:

This is Fischer's "me-me" song...listen to him everytime I finish a verse:

Happy Independence Day!
