Beautiful Eva

Our friends, Troy and Andi, just brought home their newly adopted baby girl, Eva. We had the pleasure of visiting with her this evening...isn't she beautiful?

Fischer just wanted to poke her.

Proud Papa :)

Watch Me!!

Fischer is a big boy now! Sorry the lighting is so bad on this, it was night time and we didn't think about it.

Our Precious Little Tigger!

Here are Fischer's professional Halloween portraits (we'll take snapshots on Halloween to share). Isn't he the cutest? After the Tigger shots are pictures of him in the Chinese baby outfit his Auntie bought when she was in China while I was pregnant.

Pumpkin Carving

Friday night we carved our Jack-O-Lantern for Halloween. Fischer played with his little pumpkin until daddy got the big one open. Then he went crazy with the seeds! He only put one in his mouth, and didn't like it at all, so I didn't have to worry about him choking. He just liked the slimy feel of them and kept smooshing them through his fingers!

The Cutest Pumpkin in the Patch!

Friday we took Fischer to the pumpkin patch at Lake Morton in downtown Lakeland. We let him choose his own pumpkin to take home and carve. It was a tough decision for him, but he found one he liked in the end (the last picture here, with the long stem). Afterwards, we took a walk by the lake and fed the ducks bread, then got a great picture of Fischer with a swan swimming by and the town in the background...of course, Fischer was more interested in his little pumpkin!

Bad Hair Day!

Thursday, I went to get Fischer up from his nap, and found him looking like this! It stayed the rest of the day too...I couldn't get it to lay down! I think he's puzzled as to why I'm taking his picture here.

Our Big Day At The Zoo!

On Friday (Oct. 10) we took Fischer to Lowry Park Zoo in Tampa. We had a great time! Here are some of the pictures:

Fischer loved to look at the birds in the Aviary!

He did not like the Macaws...they were too shrill and loud! (this is the only thing he didn't like)

Daddy and Fischer are watching the Orangutans (one stayed under a blanket all day long...the other has a baby)

He was not afraid of the Llama at all!

We rode the Merry-Go-Round!

He loved the petting zoo!

Getting ready for a Safari!

Afternoon nap...but I still had to get his picture with the baby manatee!

Still sleeping, but the monkeys are cute!

When he woke up, he got to feed a giraffe! His whole hand went into the giraffe's mouth...Fischer loved it!

It was a hot day, so daddy let him play in the fountain (press play).

Look What I Can Do!!

Nana got Fischer this firetruck a week ago...we thought he would like to ride on it while we pushed him around. Fischer had other ideas:

He's been pulling up and furniture surfing for a few weeks, but this was a big suprise...we had no idea he could do this!

It's Official - He's a Chipmunk!

Last Tuesday, at Fischer's 9 month checkup (21 lbs, 14 oz, 29 in), the doctor told me to let Fischer eat whatever he wants that we're eating, except for the allergen causing foods (honey, milk, nuts). I told the doctor that he doesn't like chewing, thinking he just needs more time, but the dr. said "practice makes perfect." So I came home determined to get Fischer to eat finger foods. First, I finely chopped some nectarine, thinking this is soft and easy to chew. Fischer kept taking pieces from me as if he loved them. About 5 min. later, out popped a piece...a few min. later, another piece. I thought that was all, so I changed his diaper and took him into the kitchen for his dinner. When I went to feed him (it's been 15 minutes now), I found the rest of the pieces tucked in his cheek! He was sucking on them, but would not eat them! That evening, I tried some cooked carrots...just 2 pieces this time. He acted like he ate them, then ate his baby food like normal. 20 minutes later he and Dustin were playing when he fell and started crying...I found both pieces still in his mouth! He tucked them in his cheek to eat his baby food, and was laughing and babbling like normal during play! So I've determined that he is a chipmunk, not a baby :)

Playing with daddy after work!

He sits like a little boy to play now - always on his knees!

Lazy Saturday afternoons

Sunday lunch at Nana's house with Auntie Kala (and a cute puppy on his overalls)!

This is how he watches Baby Einstein - totally engrossed!

I'm cute and I know it!
