Pony Ride

Fischer got to take his first pony ride last weekend! (I've been avoiding it until now b/c I'm allergic to them and he had to be big enough that he could hang on himself...the workers stayed beside him).

Fischer's face says it all: "Is this guy really on his cell phone right now???"

Cheeeeeese!

Still having fun! (the little boy in the background kept tipping his hat and saying "yee-haw"...it was so cute).

More from October

Fischer's new swing set is complete!

The trapeze is his favorite part.

This is my 7 month picture...about 1 1/2 weeks late (already have the 2nd child syndrome!)...and yes, I know I look big, but as with Fischer, the doctor says everything is measuring just fine. Again I'm just all belly because of my limited stature.

Fischer keeps falling asleep like this (this is at night, the flash made it look like day)...my mother says that this is how my dad (Fischer's Papa) always sleeps...could it be hereditary?

When your fridge looks like this, is it time to go to the store??? (I don't think my fridge has ever been this empty, so I had to take a pic!)

New Stuff

Fischer's corner (he and Owen will be sharing a bedroom)...

Fischer got a swing set for his birthday...we're setting it up now while the weather is nice, even though his birthday isn't until Dec. 21. Last night we managed the frame and the slide...here's Fischer's first run on the new slide:

Just Hangin' Around

We aren't doing much new around here besides trying to get all our little projects done before the baby is born...so here's just a few pics from the last few weeks.

Dustin had a toenail worked on and had to soak his foot twice a day...Fischer came in, took off his clothes, and climbed in! (kinda gross, I know, but at least it was Epsom salt and this was after weeks of healing).

Of course we made him get out, so he sat and soaked his feet too.

Daddy reading Fischer a bedtime story (usually we use the rocking chair).

Fischer likes to play with my headbands...he did this all by himself.

I'm finally working on decorating Fischer's room...here are the 4 paintings I made to match his bedding (the pillow is part of his bedding).

I joined a cooking co-op where we spend one day each month cooking enough dinners to last the month...we also do some prep work the day before. My job was to brown ground beef. I ground 40 pounds in about 3 hours!

Here's 5 pounds before:

And 5 pounds after! (I did this 8 times)

Anyone need an 8x8 pan full of grease??

The fruits of my our labor...a freezer full of meals I can just pull out and heat up on the stove or in the oven. Add a veggie and rolls and dinner is ready!

The Wedding

On Saturday, we drove to Orlando for my cousin's wedding at a beautiful mansion on a lake. I don't have any pics of the ceremony, because it was outside and with the pregnancy I was just too hot and had to come in. But here are some pictures from the reception:

Fischer with my cousin Emily (groom's older sister) and her husband Stephan (the scraggly beard is due to his upcoming deployment...I think he'll blend in nicely!).

Fischer quickly became best buds with my cousin Austin (groom's youngest brother).

He snuggled with Austin during Nathan's best man sermon...I mean speach! (just kidding Nathan, it was beautiful).

Then they made funny faces for everybody :)
For some reason, this is the only picture I got of my cousin Nathan, preparing for the best man speach. Sorry Nate!

Fischer and the happy couple: My cousin Matt and his beautiful new bride, Rich. (BTW - Rich is Phillippino, so the guy's shirts are the traditional barong of her country).

Another great picture of my wonderful cousins.

As usual, Fischer enjoyed the cake! (with his dinosaur, of course).

This is a shot of the mansion we were inside...it looked like a Disney resort...only the Disney resorts look very fake, and this was obviously real! Everything was hand-made in the Phillippines, then shipped over here, along with the workers to assemble them!

The lagoon-style pool.

The world's largest birdcage?

We walked down the dock to the lake for some sunset pictures:

And here is some true Florida natural landscape...most lakes are surrounded by cypress swamps, hence the long docks required to reach the water. I think they are very beautiful at sunset.

Eating in Florida

He always gets tons of yummy, sugary foods when we visit Nana's house...like this giant cookie Auntie brought him!

Mmmm...pickles at Jimbo's B-B-Q!

His first ring pop!

He took it to the bath with him and told us it was his "paci-flower" (that's what he always called his pacifier when he was little).

Playing in Florida

Fischer and I went to Florida for a week to visit my family and attend my cousin's wedding (pictures from wedding coming in a future post). Here are some pictures of Fischer just playing:

Hanging out in the yard with Papa and Auntie...the hurricane off the east coast gave us some nice, clear, not-humid weather.

Swimming with Papa.

Playing with Charlotte at her house.

Riding the waves with Geoffrey.

Big hugs!

Trying out the trikes and helmets at Walmart.

When Nana told me she was getting Fischer a balloon a the grocery, I had no idea it would be as big as him!

When the string broke off of the balloon, Fischer said "I'll go get my step stool" and he tried to get it down with his bug net!

Papa and Fischer had quite the race track set up for his Hot Wheels (it ran the length of the living room).

Always having fun in the bath!
