A Pirate and his Parrot!!


Nana made this amazing pirate costume for Fischer...he didn't want to smile, he just wanted to say "Arrgggh!"



Then we found a cute "Pirate Parrot" costume for Owen to match his big brother!




He wasn't a big fan of the hat. I would stand behind him, then throw it on his head real quick just before the photographer snapped the picture...he'd immediately pull it off. But as soon as the whole photo shoot was over and we walked back into the lobby, he kept it on for about 20 minutes!!!

Here are some adorable portraits of Owen from October...he was 10 months old at this time.

October Videos

I was sorting boxes of the boy's different sized clothes from the attic one day, when Owen decided to join me. He kept "sorting" these items by moving them from one side to the other the whole time I was working :)


We were trying to video Owen standing up on his own, when someone got a little jealous ;)


And here's Owen standing up on his own and playing catch with daddy (with a rock...which we took away later!)


Another cute video of Owen standing on his own, but refusing to walk! He did this for about a month before he would finally take a step!

October Pictures

I made a diaper cake for my friend Jenni's baby shower...I just had to post it b/c I was so proud of myself (I'm not very crafty!). Youtube helped a lot! I even found a way to make it w/o rolling every single diaper!

Owen likes to sit in the basketball goal and have the balls land on his head! (It's a pool toy)


I know I've shown this a bunch of times, but it's still so cute!


There's nothing better than cookies and Capri Suns with a friend!


I finally found a way to get Owen to eat without fussing the whole time...I'm not extremely proud of it, but you gotta do what you gotta do!!

The boys were all sick around this time, so we never got to visit a pumpkin patch...here we are picking out our Halloween pumpkin at Home Depot...they're still cute anyway!

Scooping out pumpking guts in the cold weather...Fischer was just playing around, and Owen was just getting muddy, so mommy did most of the work. (Daddy was grilling dinner)


So happy to be covered in mud!


Happy Halloween! We went trick-or-treating at Grandma's work and found her dressed like this! She won their costume contest :)

Owen was crawling from the living room to the front room, fussing the whole way, until he realized that halfway between was a toy he'd never played with before!

Poor Zeke...took a corner in the yard too sharp and sliced his side open on a fence. It's not as bad as it looks...it only tore the skin, no muscle, and barely bled. He didn't even yelp (we discovered it later and had to search the yard for the injury site).

I may have shared this one of Fischer swimming already, but I wanted it to be with the correct month's update too...here's when he learned how to swim by himself!



Owen is to bouncy balls what Fischer is to monster trucks...here they're playing ball together :)
