A Week At The Beach

We took Fischer for his first trip to the beach. We stayed on Anna Maria Island for a week of fun-in-the-sun (although we didn't let Fischer in the sun too much!). Unfortunately, daddy didn't get to go, so you won't see him in the pictures. But we had a lot of fun with Nana, Papa, and Auntie Kala!! Fischer LOVED the sand...he rubbed it all in his hair, ate fistfulls of it, and wiggled his toes in it. He also LOVES the water - both ocean and pool.

I'm so tired from swimming, I had to take a nap. The ocean waves make it easy to sleep!

My Favorite Thing on TV

I realized the other day that we hadn't listened to the Bad Boys song in a while, so I turned it on...as soon as I did, Fischer turned around in my lap to watch it! He's been doing that ever since...he doesn't watch other shows, just turns around for the song. So to prove that COPS really is Fischer's favorite song, I've recorded him watching it. Notice that he doesn't care anything about the soccer game at the beginning, and fusses a little when the song is over!

Happy Days!

As the books say, these are the glory days of babyhood...he laughs and plays and interacts with us all the time, but he still stays where we put him! That won't be for much longer...he's getting closer to crawling.

His Jumparoo is one of his favorite toys, as you can see in the video. It helps get that last bit of energy out before naptime!

My daddy is a funny guy!!!

GG had her 80th birthday on June 5th!

What a messy eater! We can't put clothes or a bib on him because they get splattered. The problem is not the actual eating - he's great at using a spoon - but he loves to blow rasberries after each bite! The messier the rasberry is, the more he laughs!

My First Big Pool

Wednesday we took Fischer to the big pool by GG's house (Great-Granny) for the first time. As usual, he took to it right away! He really loved his float, even though his face doesn't show it in the picture. He played with his boats and watched another little girl swim around. We're excited about going to the beach in a few weeks now that we know he'll like it!
